

How do we heal?
In the Special Projects Unit of CIREC Foundation, we formulate and develop effective, efficient and sustainable social innovation projects in the most vulnerable communities of the Colombian territory, seeking to respond to the needs faced by people with disabilities and victims of armed conflict.

Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation Brigades
Our Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation Brigades have established themselves as a great strategy with which we seek to provide specialized medical care throughout the national territory to the population with physical disabilities and limited resources, with little or no access to a healthcare system.

Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)
Our Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) strategy is a model of psychosocial support and community development aimed at social inclusion and the active participation of people with disabilities and / or victims of the armed conflict through five components of empowerment: socio-political - health - education - labor inclusion, productivity and income generation - culture, recreation and sports.

Following the guidelines established by the Secretary of the Interior as technical secretariat, and recognizing that Colombia has the Public Policy on Disability and Social Inclusion, we accompany and guide local and state administrations in the process of planning, formulating and putting forth public policies around disability.

We work with communities to prevent risk due to the presence or suspicion of explosive devices and the adoption of safe behaviors in areas contaminated by antipersonnel mines (MAP), unexploded ordnance (MSE) and explosive traps (TE), strengthening the competence of self-care and community risk management.

Technical Aids Bank and Psychosocial Support
We provide mobility devices for people with disabilities in order to strengthen or create Technical Aid Banks in public entities through direct sales or public contracting.
